Kirklees Council projects – engagement resources

During 2017/18, Healthwatch Kirklees will be working in partnership with Kirklees Council to undertake a range of engagement activities.

Current engagement activity

Respite Care

Healthwatch has been asked by Kirklees Council to engage with patients, carers and the wider public. We are working together to find out more about what people think about possible new ways of providing respite care. The engagement is aimed primarily at people who have use respite care services but does include methods to capture the views of the wider public and key stakeholders.

The engagement will run for three weeks. It will commence on Monday 3rd July 2017 and run until Thursday 20th July 2017.

An email will be sent to all households that are currently accessing respite care services. In addition to this, the engagement will be promoted via Carers Count and social media.

A short animation has been developed to support the engagement

Healthwatch Kirklees will pull together all the feedback that people have shared, and will produce an engagement report, this will be shared with Kirklees Council by Monday 7th August 2017.
