The doctors are lovely however we have to ring at 8am otherwise you cannot get an appointment

Dear Patient

Thank you fro taking the time to comment on our practice.

We are aware and appreciate the difficulties getting through on the phone sometimes we are currently in the process of looking for a new telephone system which certainly should help sort some of the problems we have been experiencing .
We offer a range of appointments throughout the day including early morning and evening gp appointments we also offer practice nurse , health care assistant and blood test appointments early morning and where possible into the evening.

There are always pre bookable appointments available up to three months in advance and we also offer some further pre bookable appointments via our online services.

We appreciate it can be difficult to know all these things exist but we do try our best to inform patients of changes and developments for example the practice news letter updates on the practice website and information displayed in practice .

We also greatly value the support of our patient participation group who meet quarterly and help advise and support the practice with decisions affecting the practice you are most welcome to join us and share your views

Sometimes difficult to get appointment

Recently new doctors have come and appointments can take 3 weeks . Eventually got an appointment in a week. My daughter had to get in touch with the surgery to help me get things sorted.

They are very helpful and polite. When you come to them take you seriously. Others try to fob you off.

Locum doctor

I was given an appointment with a locum doctor, a five minute appointment and a prescription and I was back in the car park. I felt I wasn't listened to and felt I was an inconvenience

Dear Anonymous thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience here at the practice.
We are sorry that on this occasion that you did not have a good experience.

At certain times of the year we need to employ locums to cover for the regular gp's to have holidays . We appreciate that sometimes it can be difficult to convey your problems /issues when you are speaking with someone who you are unfamiliar with but at the end of the day the locum is a fully qualified gp and you should feel at ease with them just as if you had seen one oft he regular team.

If a patient is unhappy with the service they have received from anyone in the practice we really need you to let us know in order that we can be made aware of the problems you are experiencing and look at how we can improve our services.
