There are a team of qualified Occupational Therapists and a clinical care assistant who provide Occupational Therapy input to children and young people across the North Kirklees area. They are based at the Child Development Centre on the grounds of Dewsbury and District Hospital.
Occupational therapy can help children grow, learn, have fun, socialise and play so they can develop, and support them to reach their full potential.
The team provide a child-centred, family orientated approach and will see children in a variety of settings most appropriate to them. We enable the child to reach their maximum developmental potential and gain independence in performing daily living activities.
