Seems like the wrong way to do things

My mum has Alzheimer's and had an X-ray which detected hairline fracture. Xray sent her to A&e and she then had to wait 5 hours to be seen, just to be told nothing can be done. She was getting increasingly agitated during the wait.
Seemed a bit pointless to wait all that time.

The hospital is very dementia friendly. I was allowed to stay as a carer . Ward 8

Very quick very competent and very through. I was in A&E for 30 mins in total.

The general atmosphere was good on the Riding center wards ward 10 and ward 11 and the people were nice. The nurses were good.

Food was good. Physiology more than good and doctors and anethist really good. They made you feel comfortable .

The X-ray itself was extremely quick it took under one hour from the GP service to the department. The results took too long over two weeks to come back to GP. Overall good service.

The waiting has increased lately. I had a long wait at A & E department last time. It was over 4 hours. I think this is due to cutting services.I feel that this should be reduced to 2 hours wait at the most.
