Reception staff nice .

July 11, 2022
Those of us who are self -employed cannot work and get to see the doctor. When we try to book advanced appointments they are 2- 3 weeks in advance which would be ok but can't always get them. When you do have an appointment you have so many things you want to discuss but can only discuss one problem and you need time to explain them all. Especially if it is for children or older people . The GP's are very good but it would help if you could see the same one so you don't have to repeat your concerns and they are aware of all your medical history. It would also be more comfortable and I could build a rapport with them. Reception staff are nice and help deal with things there and then.

Drop in surgery would help

July 11, 2022
It is appalling how difficult it is to get seen. I would prefer to see someone when I am poorly and when I rang up today it wasn't easy to get through, then it cuts you off as there are too many people in the queue. Doctors need to see patients to ensure the correct diagnosis . A drop in surgery would help those that need to be seen on the day.

Frustrating!

July 11, 2022
I’ve been coming here a long time and it has changed over the last few years . I used to be able to ring up to get my appointments easily . I knew the doctors , now they don’t know anything about you . It doesn’t feel personal or look like they read your notes and I have to explain everything. They need more staff so we can all be seen . I think everyone must feel the same

Would prefer to see the same doctor.

July 11, 2022
Having to ring up at 8am on a morning and wait over half an hour to get through when i don’t come often and I am desperate. I would prefer to see the same doctor . How many doctors actually work here ? I don’t know as there is never any appointments.

Thank you for your response.

We do ask if it is urgent and you need to be seen that day, that you ring as early as possible. Unfortunately our phone lines are extremely busy and we are promoting booking appointments on line or to use the E Consult service where ever possible as this will help reduce the incoming calls.

We currently have 5 doctors at the surgery with a further GP starting in August.

Thank you

more longer appointments needed

July 11, 2022
It’s difficult for me to come to the surgery so I had several things I wanted to discuss but was told I couldn’t have longer for today’s appointment. We did speak about a couple of my concerns but I have had to book another appointment for the rest . The surgery was quiet when I was leaving so it would have been much better if I could have spoken about everything today rather than me take up a future appointment that someone else could have used .

Thank you for your response.

Appointment times are 12 mins per appointment to see a GP at the practice and for the safety of our patients we can only see one problem within that time. Please do not hesitate to book a double appointment in the future with our reception team as they will be happy to assist or alternatively you can book online. If you do not have online access and would like to sign up, please contact the surgery who will be happy to get this set up for you.

The waiting area will be quieter at the end of the morning surgery, as the GPs are then attending home visits, and telephone consultations that are booked in after morning surgery and before the start of the afternoon clinics.

Please do not hesitate to contact myself at the surgery if you would like to discuss further.

Thank you

Inconsistent information from reception staff

Impossible to get through, when do get through you get wrong advice. E consult is a nightmare to find, and when found takes far too long to go through.

Thank you for your feedback.

Our telephone lines at the practice are extremely busy and we do appreciate the frustration.

In view of this, we have looked at how we can reduce the number of telephone calls and the queueing time at the practice.

We have recently installed a new telephone system with additional telephone lines. We have also recruited receptionists to support our existing reception team and the additional phone lines, appointments are also now available to book online.

With the recent recruitment of staff, if incorrect information has been given, we are keen to find out more information, so that we can share with our staff to avoid this happening again.

The online E Consult service does have a lot of questions that need to be answered. This is to ensure that we get the correct information from our patient so that the online request can be dealt with efficiently and safely.

Feedback is always important to us as this gives the practice an opportunity to improve the service that we provide for our patients.

Thank you

Unable to get appointments

Reception staff have a ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude. Red mole - ring back. Torn muscle - won’t see you.

Good afternoon,

All feedback is important to us so that I can look into this further I would need to have more details.

I would be grateful if the patient concerned would contact the surgery.
