I'm sorry to hear that you feel there is a lack of continuity of care from the surgery.
Over recent months we have employed more clinical staff to rectify this issue.
This has also increased capacity to offer appointments to our patients.
Whilst we cannot always promise you see the same person if you have an acute medical need we do try to provide continuity of care for ongoing medical issues.

I'm sorry to hear that you have had difficulty obtaining a face to face appointment at the surgery.
Over recent months we have employed more clinical staff to rectify this issue.
Whilst we cannot promise you see the same person every contact with us we do have lots of on the day appointments with a range of clinician to assist with your medical needs.
I would encourage you to contact us directly so that we can look into this matter further for you and arrange for you to see a clinician.

Phones don’t get answered- website not working so no possible way to ever get an appointment.

They literally go out of their way not to have to deal with patients!!

I'm sorry to hear that you experienced issues when trying to contact the surgery.
We have recently procured a new telephone system which seems to have made telephone contact easier, that been said we do still have very busy periods. As well as contacting us by telephone we do encourage patients to use PATCHs, there is a link on our website. This service is monitored during working hours and is often easier than contacting us by telephone.
We haven't had any reports of the website being unavailable but will ensure that this matter is looked into.

They agreed to referr my daughter back in November to cahms . I’ve been chasing since then so now 5 months and it’s still not been done. The dr keeps just saying he has done it and completing the task on his computer but not actually done it . I’ve no idea why ! I asked for another dr to do it and instead they have tasked the same one again to do it ! This is now a 5 month delay

No continuity of care.

1. Rapid and frequent change of staff including doctors. No one actually knows who I am.
2. Extremely difficult to get an appointment face to face .
3. Telephone contact is almost impossible.
4. Though not life threatening, I feel my health issues are not being managed and are becoming life changing.
5. After seeing a locum at another venue, I found my records are inaccurate.

I, find the whole system needs overhauling, you can wait all day for a callback, that never comes

I am sorry you have reason to complain about the service.

We have appointments available everyday and also to book in advance. There is still a very high demand for appointments and if we are unable to see you at Parkview, there are appointments available we can book for you in the Kirklees area.

Without further information I cannot comment on why you would wait all day for a call back. Please can I encourage you to contact me at the surgery with more detail.

Provider responded

Appointment was 8.15 sat waiting 40mins

It’s not nice waiting & takes 1 hour to get through on the phone start to ring at 8.01 & get to speak to someone at 9am

I am sorry you have reason to complain about the service you have received.

I am not sure if you had a Face to Face appointment or a telephone appointment. If you had a telephone appointment it should have been explained to you that the doctor would call at some stage in the morning and not at a specific time. I will address this issue with our Reception Team.

we have recently upgraded our telephone system and can flex our staffing levels to meet demand. I hope you notice an improvement the next time you call,

Service to my mum.

October 13, 2022
My mum struggles to get face to face appointments, she struggles with the phone system, can be over half an hour to get through, no appointments available on the day, doesn't always get the right treatment or advice, discharge notes from hospitals aren't scrutinised to allow for changes to medication. Mum feels like an inconvenience not important, appointments are always booked up in advance, can be two weeks to get an appointment and hearing, mobility not taken into consideration.
The surgery seems to be still in Covid mode, at my surgery they are fully open and very supportive, no masks either, it's upto the individual.

I am sorry you have reason to complain about the service.

We have recently upgraded the phone system and I hope your Mum has an improved experience the next time she needs to call us.

We have Face to Face and telephone appointments available every day but we are still experiencing a very high demand. We are also able to offer GP appointments throughout the Kirklees area if we have no availability that day.

I can ensure you that we are not working in Covid mode and are delivering more appointments that we were pre-Covid.

If you would like to discuss a specific incident please can I encourage you to contact me directly at the surgery
