Safe Space Crisis Respite Services – Survey Request
Calderdale, Kirklees, and Wakefield Transforming Care Partnership is developing some new services across the area to prevent people with a learning disability/autism over the age of 18 being admitted into a mental health hospital or to an Assessment and Treatment Unit if they were in a crisis and experiencing difficulties in their current home. These new services will offer short term accommodation of between 4 and 12 weeks until the person is well enough to return home or move to a new placement.
Inclusion North have been asked to find out the views of people with a learning disability and/or autism and their family carers/supporters what a Safe Space – crisis respite service should offer.
