“I wanted to have the Covid-19 vaccine but when I tried to book, the only appointment available online were outside my local area which made it tricky as I don’t have transport or childcare.”

My parents were very reluctant to have the vaccine but I felt sure that I could persuade them to go with me if an appointment could be arranged locally at a place they were familiar with.

I asked Healthwatch Kirklees if anything could be done to arrange local Covid-19 vaccination appointments. I’d already tried my GP practice but they’d be unable to help.

They called me directly and within 48-hours myself and my family had been vaccinated at the Al Hikmah Centre in Batley.”
