Can you help us understand why ethnically diverse people often decline reablement services?
Were you asked if you needed ongoing care when you were discharged from hospital?
Intermediate care units and reablement services are available for those needing ongoing care or rehabilitation after being in hospital. However, after our last discharge project (Leaving hospital: experiences of those needing reablement support at home or intermediate care), we found that ethnically diverse individuals often decline these services. Can you help us understand why?
Do you understand what these services offer? What might put you off accepting this type of care?
We will make sure providers of these services hear your views.
We welcome feedback on these services from people of any ethnicity.
