In addition to providing their usual services, this opticians is also part of the Primary Eyecare and Assessment Referral Service (PEARS); conditions that can be seen under the service include: • Red eye or eyelids • Dry Eye or gritty and uncomfortable eyes • Irritation and inflammation of the eye • Significant recent sticky discharge from the eye or watery eye • Recently occurring flashes or floaters • In growing eyelashes • Foreign body in the eye PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT A SIGHT TEST If you have a major eye condition that is being regularly monitored by your optometrist or hospital eye service, this will not be covered by this service, for example, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma.

Excellent service - recognise your voice when you telephone. Remember your requirements. Go above and beyond to be helpful.
Friendly staff
Used to let me in/out at the back door when my son was in a pushchair to avoid the front steps.
Used by the whole family (including extended family).
Very thorough eye test. Wouldn't trust anywhere else.
Always test for Glaucoma due to familial history
They take facial measurements so that they can advise on the best glasses to fit your face (didn't get this when I once purchased a pair of glasses from Asda Opticians)
