Disgraceful

A family member was transferred to this practice due to a retirement. They received a notification from the NHS to say that they are being registered with this practice. They visited once since 2016 and not since to date. Since the COVID 19 situation and vaccination offer, this individual who is in a vulnerable group, has not received an offer to be vaccinated. I tried to book this individual for a vaccine, but was unable to do this as there details ‘ could not be found’... I phoned 119 NHS, again they could not find their details... they recommended I emailed the practice directly and as a matter of urgency. Which I did. To my astonishment the practice replied to my email and telephoned me to inform me that the individual in question is not registered there and that they had deleted the individuals records because they had not responded to two letters that they had sent , which I’m guessing was for yearly flu jabs that the individual had declined. I am absolutely livid and will be looking into taking this matter further. How can a practice delete a patient off the system and leave no records any where... I hope, the historical information is in place....
