CHART Kirklees (drug and alcohol support)

CHART Kirklees is the new integrated substance misuse partnership led by Lifeline Project including Community Links, Locala and The Basement Recovery Project which supports people in Kirklees around their substance misuse. The Community Links Assertive Engagement Team (AET) delivers an outreach element to ensure that those who wish to engage with alcohol services, but are unable to access the mainstream service due to additional needs such as physical disabilities or anxiety, can still receive the same service in their own home.

The service is open to anyone in Kirklees, aged over 18 who would like to work around their alcohol use and require support to do so in their own home.

Support is tailored to the individual and the focus is around achieving their goals. This could include abstinence, planned reduction or harm minimisation.

The service operates: Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm. Friday 9am – 4.30pm

Appointments can be arranged outside of these times to meet individual need as agreed in advance with the service manager. Tel: 01924 438383 or 01484 437907

Was the only service that did something

They listened, They acted immediately. This was the 8th number I rang for help, the first number I rang (different service) I was on hold 20mins, so I gave up, the rest of the numbers I tried just passed me on to another service with yet another number to ring.

Unorganised, cruel, rude, no respect

Cancelling scripts, moving them. A complete lack of privacy. Unorganised. Uneducated. 0 concern for covid 19 safety. No concern for patients needs. No concern for patient consent

Appaulingly misjudged a situation.

Completely failed in patient care with nearly catastrophic consequences. Failed to listen to what was said to them and failed in their duty of care.
