They didn't even call or turn up

January 27, 2017
Referred family member, admitted several times, extremely unwell and only 50. I don't know how many times I called locala but even after speaking to a manager who assured me a community matron would call they didn't. My relative died and did not get the help she needed at all. Terrible situation to be in. I had an older relative years ago who had a great service but since it's gone to Locala it's appalling. There is no card or compassion here.

I am very sorry to hear of the poor service you describe your family member receiving and the difficulties you had even after speaking to many people. Locala has been providing the Community Matron service for over 5 years and this is usually a well regarded service as you mention. We would therefore very much like to investigate your experience, not only so we can find out what happened in your case, but also to ensure that we identify anything we need to put right, in order to ensure the best service for other residents of Kirklees. I would therefore be very grateful if you could contact our Customer Liaison Team on 0303 003 4529 (option 1) and let them know what happened.
