On the whole we have a high rating of patient satisfaction with getting an appointment. The North Road Suite Team are working very hard to provide access to people of all ages at a convenient time and of course we cannot accommodate everyone's first preference request. We have increased our clinical team to 4 GP Partners and we have a Female GP and Female Advanced Nurse Practitioner who works as part of the GP and provides all the consultations that the GP's do the only thing she cannot do is patients fit notes.
Our Patient Care Advisers have been trained to take initial details from patients under the direction from the GP Partners this is called 'Care Navigation' to ensure all patients who have and urgent medical condition can bee seen on the day and if they are ever unsure the patient is placed on the GP assessment list - this enables the GP to phone the patient and assess if they need to be seen and take the appropriate actions for the patients treatment and care.
North Road Suite is above the local North Kirklees CCG Practices and National average levels of satisfaction for getting an appointment at 82% (local average is 68% and national 70%).
