Medicare Chemists, Meltham Road Surgery

I use this pharmacy regularly, as it is in the same building as my doctors... It is well-run, with polite and friendly staff. The pharmacist is always available for advice if needed. On one occasion recently, I went in there for an eye problem, hoping just to pick up some eye drops, and he identified a more serious inflammatory problem and referred me to see a doctor... The GPs receptionist fitted me in quickly because I had been sent by the pharmacist, and I was seen and treated within minutes... A brilliant example of doctor and pharmacist working effectively together, which stopped my eye inflammation from deteriorating and prevented me from needing hospital treatment.
