New Street Surgery

After a routine blood test, I was sent a text message to ask me to make an appointment. I made a telephone appointment for 6 weeks time. After 6 weeks the appointment took place. This was just a medication review and I was told that my blood results had come back within normal range. This seemed like a waste of an appointment and caused me unnecessary anxiety about what could have shown up on my blood test. This information could have been given at the time.

The last time i wanted a face to face appointment i was told it would be weeks so had a telephone appointment instead Reception staff and practice nurse are very nice .GP’s listen and give me enough time at my appointment. I do need to take someone with me to register me when i arrive to fill in the information on the screen .

I have a long term back problem and suffer with chronic pain which impacts my mental health. I receive pain treatment from the GP and they are very good.

My husband has been treated over the past 18 months for Prostrate Cancer. He has to have Ostreogen vaccinations every 12 weeks to complete his treatment.
All has been well until this last one which has a been a complete and utter mess.
Not only Is the injection now 3 weeks late he has now been to the surgery twice and had to leave as the prescription has not yet been ordered.

From ringing the receptionist and a follow on call from the Dr extremely helpful, referral was made and letter received in a day - impressed

The team are extremly helpful & happy . great the set times to ring for repeat prescriptions have been relaxed especially as I'm not sure what day of the week I'm on let alone time.

Only been a few times, was easy to get an appointment and the service has always been good, staff very nice and helpful.

Waiting times to be seen can be over 30 mins however if we are late for our appointment we are told off

Quality of care depends on which doctor you see. Some go above and beyond to help. I wouldn't be alive today without the care that one doctor has given me.
The environment it lovely too, light and welcoming.
