Hard to get an appointment

Can't fault the staff of cleanliness but the biggest barrier to accessing services is getting an appointment. As a family our most recent GP visits have been to the Walk-In Centre at Dewsbury Hospital purely because even if you ring the surgery at 8am by the time you get through all the slots have gone.

Call at 8am to find the phones engaged with a funny tone for about 20 minutes (sometimes longer). When you do get through eventually, you're told that there are no appointments available and to call back at 2pm. The same happens again and the cycle continues. I've made this complaint before but nothing is getting done. It's stressful to even think I need to book an appointment and I feel like I'll avoid seeing the doctor unless I'm at deaths door!
Very poor. difficult to make an appointment.

It is an absolute mission to make an appointment. The phone remains engaged for long periods and when I eventually get through, I'm told that there are no appointments available. That cycle continues. It has been so stressful that there have been times where i have put off seeing a doctor even though i was really ill. Also, there have been so many different doctors.

Practice nurse is excellent and has assisted quickly and easily with vaccinations and annual health checks.The practice as a whole is helpful. It can sometimes be difficult to get appointments unless booking in advance.
