Vision Centre Batley (PEARS - North Kirklees)

In addition to providing their usual services, this opticians is also part of the Primary Eyecare and Assessment Referral Service (PEARS); conditions that can be seen under the service include:
• Red eye or eyelids
• Dry Eye or gritty and uncomfortable eyes
• Irritation and inflammation of the eye
• Significant recent sticky discharge from the eye or watery eye
• Recently occurring flashes or floaters
• In growing eyelashes
• Foreign body in the eye

PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT A SIGHT TEST

If you have a major eye condition that is being regularly monitored by your optometrist or hospital eye service, this will not be covered by this service, for example, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma.

Lady Optician rushed test.

During eye test the lady optician was only bothered about me getting new glasses even when I said I was happy with the present ones. I left without getting new glasses. And she was late and did NOT apologise.

ok, could be better

It's easy to make an appointment. I have a learning difficulty and the reception staff are really nice and helpful to me.
It would be better if the optician explained the test more to me as it can be confusing having things in front of my face and I don't know what's happening.
