Weight Management - Brian Jackson Centre

Get Food Wise and Exercise is a great way to learn to eat healthier and get active all at the same time. It is a ten week programme and each week there is an hour session.

The hour session involves an educational talk based around an aspect of healthy eating e.g Carbohydrates, Fruit & Vegetables, Food Labels plus many more. There is the opportunity of a weekly weigh-in and the choice for the participants to keep a food diary, as a part of the sessions.

The education session is either proceeded by or followed by an activity of your choice. You need to be a member of PALS (Practice activity & Leisure Scheme) to join ‘’Get Food Wise & Exercise’’ and you will then be informed of full details of where and when the Get Food Wise and Exercise sessions are held.

Losing weight with help

This was a very good class - help and suggestions on how to manage weight and keep it under control. Exercise was included and helpful. The two girls who took the class were excellent. I have tried to continue the process since, not always successfully!!
