Yorkshire Ambulance Service

My wife broke her leg in a fall in the garden. We are both pensioners. They would not send an emergency ambulance as the accident was not life threatening. I was told I would have to get her to hospital myself or wait unto 2 hrs for a transport ambulance. I was not able to lift my wife due to my health. My wife was in extreme pain. It seems there is a checklist and if you don't tick enough boxes you don't get an ambulance, this checklist doesn't take into account your individual circumstances.

Anything to do with huddersfield NHS is unreliable

My GP Surgery said they were ringing 999 for me as I had chest pains when I rung the surgery. I was waiting over an hour and no ambulance came. I had to ring 999 again myself - this time the ambulance arrived in 20 minutes. I don't know if it was the ambulance service or the GP surgery that was at fault with the delay. The ambulance service was brilliant when they arrived.
