An Opportunity To Have Your Say – Maternity and Paediatric Services
Health and social care organisations across Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield are working together to look at how services might be developed and improved to meet needs now and into the future.
Our vision is that people receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place. This means providing more healthcare in the community, achieving greater integration of health and social care services, reducing the number of people who need to go to hospital, and making sure that people who do need a hospital stay are able to return home as quickly as possible.
Over the past two years, we have undertaken a great deal of engagement about a range of hospital and community services. Over the coming months we will be undertaking further, targeted engagement in relation to children’s (paediatric) and maternity services.
Maternity service: these include services provided before and during pregnancy and after birth. This could be services provided in hospital or in the local community.
Children’s services: these include services accessed by children and young people up to the age of 16 years such as A&E, urgent care (for example when a child has a minor condition) or when a child has a planned hospital appointment.
What can you do?
As a local organisation with an interest in these areas, we want to know what you expect from services and what you think we should take into account when planning for the future. To have your say, please complete this online survey by 14th December, 2015 go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MaternityandChildrenservices
