CCG Appoints New Non-Executive Member
Colin Meredith has been appointed as Lay member of NHS North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) Governing Body with responsibility for audit.
Colin is currently the School Business Manager for Rastrick High School Academy Trust. Colin’s responsibilities include managing the finances, human resources and estate of the school. He previously worked at a school in Bradford and prior to that, most of his working life has been in industry. Colin has also held the post of Chair of Rastrick Big Local, a partnership of people who live or work in the area, tasked with using £1 million of lottery funding in the area to bring about lasting and sustainable improvements for residents.
Chris Dowse, Chief Officer of NHS North Kirklees CCG, said: “We’re really delighted to have Colin join our Governing Body. He has specific expertise and experience around managing finances which will be invaluable to his new Lay member role with responsibility for audit.”
Commenting on his appointment, Colin said: “My ambition is to ensure that any organisation I am involved with uses funding well for the benefit of the public. I hope that I will be able to use my wide experience to help the CCG deal with any challenges that may lie ahead.”
Colin replaces Tony Gerrard who steps down as Lay member with responsibility for Audit from the end of October. Colin will commence his role from 1November.
The following individuals have been elected and approved by the membership to serve on the Governing Body for a further three years:
