Commissioners to make decision on public consultation – Huddersfield Royal and Calderdale Hospitals
The Governing Bodies of NHS Greater Huddersfield and NHS Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Groups will meet next Wednesday to decide whether public consultation on the future of hospital services can get underway.
The two Clinical Commissioning Groups will decide to go to public consultation if they are satisfied that they can describe :
• the proposed future clinical model of care for hospital services in Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield
• the financial implications of any proposed changed to hospital services in these areas
• which services are proposed at the Calderdale Royal Hospital in Halifax and the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary
If the Governing Bodies determine that they have satisfied all of their requirements and are ready to move into the consultation phase, the CCGs will need some time to draw up a consultation plan and supporting documents. Once this has been done a start date for the consultation will be agreed. The Consultation will not begin on 20 January 2016.
The meeting will be held at 1.30pm on Wednesday 20 January 2016 at the Briar Suite, Briar Court Hotel, Halifax Road, Huddersfield, HX3 3NT.
The meeting is being held in public so all are welcome to attend and listen to the discussion. There will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions related to the agenda. These must be submitted in writing by 5pm on Monday 18th January 2016.
