Creating healthy communities together and Annual General Meeting

Local people have a chance to find out more about NHS Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) over a cup of tea on Wednesday 22 July from 5pm to 7pm at the Conservatory Café at Greenhead Park, Huddersfield.

The event will start with a market place of local community groups exhibiting how they have worked with the CCG to make a real difference to the health of local communities with the help of grants from the Community Partnerships scheme and will be followed by the more formal Annual General Meeting and presentation of the 2014/15 Annual Report and Accounts.

During the evening members of the Governing Body will be on hand to answer questions about the CCG’s plans for the coming year and beyond, find out more about their priorities and see how they can get involved in the decision making process.

Dr Steve Ollerton, local GP and clinical chair of the CCG said “We are delighted to be able to welcome members of our local communities to join us and find out more about us and the work we do.

This year’s event includes a market place of some of the community groups who have received funding from us in the last year.  During the last year, the CCG has invested  more than £310,000 to 50 projects in our community, through the Community Partnerships scheme, and we hope our event will demonstrate our commitment to creating healthy communities together”.
