Have your say On Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS) Services In Kirklees

NHS North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is committed to continuously improving the healthcare available to all the people living across the district. The CCG commissions a number of community based services, some of which are due to expire on 31st March 2016 and we are now looking at how these services will be provided in the future.

North Kirklees CCG commissions a local, direct access non-obstetric ultrasound service to aid early diagnostics and avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care. Currently the service is delivered to patients in North Kirklees via by two providers; Yorkshire Health Solutions and Mediscan. Patients are referred to the service by their GP. During 2014/15, over 1,600 patients used the service.
