Do you have mobility and care equipment needs for yourself or others?
By joining the Independent Living Forum you can connect, share your stories and help others like you. The forum offers a welcome space for you to talk about what works for you and what would make your life easier so services and products can be improved based on what you think and need.
Medequip is the largest provider of Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) in the UK. They provide equipment, aids, and minor adaptations to support health and disability needs and enable you to remain independent in your own home.
Medequip actively encourages you to improve and maintain individual health and wellbeing through independent living. They are keen to improve services based on feedback from those who benefit from what they do most.
Changes do happen
You said: Last year via a similar forum 500 of Medequip’s most vulnerable customers in Carlisle said they loved the personal alarm systems and they’d feel even safer if there was someone they could contact 24/7.
We did: In response, in May 2021 Medequip launched the Connect Service, providing a 24-hour Emergency Response service developed to provide total protection for elderly and vulnerable users in Carlisle.
Don’t miss your chance to take part
The first forum takes place on Wednesday 3rd November from 2-3pm via Zoom. The Operations Manager Mark Rance from Medequip will be on-hand to listen to your views as will staff from Healthwatch Kirklees.
