Information sessions and public meetings – Right Care, Right Time, Right Place

April 6, 2016

Please see information below provided by Greater Huddersfield and Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Groups

Drop-in Information Sessions are underway across Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield, to inform, listen to and gather the views of people as part of the formal Public Consultation about proposed changes to hospital and community health services. These sessions will run until the end of the consultation.
Our doctors, nurses and managers are having real discussions with members of the public, patients, and partners – and are listening to what people have to say.
Two, formal public meetings, will be held on Thursday, April 14th, 6.00pm – 8.00pm at North Bridge Leisure Centre, Halifax, HX3 6TE and on Monday, April 18th, 6.00pm – 8.00pm at the John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield, HD1 6PG.

British Sign Language (BSL) and palantypist services will be provided. The venues are disabled friendly. Anyone who has additional needs, or who wants to check that the venue meets their needs, should contact 01484 464212 or email rcrtrp.myview@nhs.net.

For health and safety reasons, attendance is restricted at both venues. However, if public demand exceeds capacity, additional public meetings with an independent Chair may be arranged. To ensure as many people have access as possible, the meetings will be live streamed to help anyone who cannot attend the meeting hear directly what is said.
Format of the Public Meetings:
– There will be a presentation about the proposed changes followed by a question and answer session.
– Questions can be submitted in advance of the meeting to rcrtrp.myview@nhs.net or telephone 01484 464212. Contact details should be included.
– People will also have an opportunity to ask questions at all of the planned meetings and can submit questions in advance.

We encourage patients, members of the public, our staff and partners to attend the information sessions and public meetings and to complete and return the Have Your Say survey.

We are listening to people and value their views on the changes proposed.
