Joint Health Scrutiny Meeting 22nd Feb 2016 – 3.45pm
Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting and there will be an opportunity to address the Committee.
Joint Health Scrutiny Committee Co-Chair, Cllr Liz Smaje (Kirklees) and Deputy Chair, Cllr Howard Blagbrough (Calderdale) said:
“This meeting will provide an opportunity for the Calderdale and Kirklees Joint Health Scrutiny Committee to give CCGs constructive feedback on their proposed consultation materials. The Committee appreciates that the proposals outlining the changes to hospital services will be of interest to many people living in Calderdale and Kirklees.
“During the CCGs’ formal consultation period the Joint Committee will undertake its own detailed review of the proposals to ensure that any changes put quality of care first, are clinically evidence-based and that the views of local people are fully considered.
“The Committee is committed to ensuring that local people and key stakeholders have an opportunity to take part in the consultation and encourage all to get involved and have their say in a series of drop-in events and meetings, which will be organised and promoted over the coming months.”
Any members of the public unable to attend any of the Committee’s activities and who wish their views to be considered should email their comments to scrutiny.governance@kirklees.gov.uk and scrutiny@calderdale.gov.uk
Comments sent to these addresses will be passed to all members of the Joint Health Scrutiny Committee.
