North Kirklees CCG: Help support your local NHS

NHS North Kirklees CCG is looking for enthusiastic local people to join their new patient engagement and experience group and help make a real difference to the way local NHS services are developed and improved.
 
This group helps to make sure that the CCG involves patients, carers and members of the public when it plans, develops and purchases (commissions) health services, or in some cases, discontinues services.
 
The group is chaired by a member of our Governing Body who is also a lay person with responsibility for public and patient involvement. It also includes members of the general public, representatives of community and voluntary groups, Healthwatch Kirklees, a representative of the local authority, and various CCG staff.

To join the group you must be:
·  Committed to the work of the group, attending all quarterly meetings and actively participating in any discussions.
·  Willing to provide feedback on a wide range of health services.
·  A good communicator.
·  Able to work in partnership with others.
·  Have relevant experience or interest in NHS matters and/or an interest in the NHS and your local community.
 
The group has four vacancies – two patient representatives and two representatives from the voluntary sector. To apply to join the group, simply complete and return this form. providing us with as much detail as possible.
