Proposed changes to the Podiatry Service in Kirklees

June 19, 2017

Locala Community Partnerships is holding a public consultation about possible changes to the NHS podiatry service in Kirklees. The Consultation starts on 19 June and will end on 11 August.

They are asking for feedback on two proposals:

  • In Greater Huddersfield only, to reduce the number of locations where podiatry clinics are held
  • Across Kirklees, to apply the existing criteria to the all patients currently using the service. In the past this criteria has not been fully applied and there are patients within the service who are not eligible to receive podiatry care. This is being done to ensure the podiatry team can provide a quality service to patients with the greatest podiatry and medical need.

Locala are asking for feedback about these proposals via a questionnaire. This is being circulated by the team of podiatrists, it is also available in health centres, GP practices and other locations across Kirklees.

There will be a series of drop-in sessions around Kirklees where people can come along and share their views. For further information and to complete the questionnaire online please go to: https://www.locala.org.uk/podiatry-consultation/
