We’re looking for new Trustees

July 9, 2015

We’re looking for new Trustees. 2 years in, and with a good record so far we’re looking to expand our Trustee Board. The skills you have are less important to us than your passion for making health & care services better. We’re want to work with people who share our passion for giving a voice to people who might otherwise not be heard.

We’re interested in people who recognise that often the system does its best, and that being loud in the press is not always the best way to help patients. We’re interested in people who are happy to measure our success by the number of times we are able to influence the system to make it just a little bit better for patients in the future.

Our Staff & Trustees operate to the Nolan principles and our standards of transparency and credibility are really important to us. We are independent of all NHS and Council services, but work closely with them to feed in stories and comments from patients.

As a trustee you’ll be expected to attend 6 board meetings a year as a minimum. Trustees then take on additional responsibilities, but overall work is around a day a month for many of our board.

For an initial conversation, and a cup of tea please email info@healthwatchkirklees.co.uk or call us on 01924 450379
