West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership Joint Committee of the 11 Clinical Commissioning Groups
In November 2016 West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership (also known as the STP) published a draft plan for the area. You can read this here.
This plan describes how health and care organisations, including the clinical commissioning groups will work together on the three aims of the Five Year Forward View
- To improve the health of people
- Provide better care
- Ensure financial sustainability.
It was developed in partnership with and is owned by health care organisations and local councils across West Yorkshire and Harrogate.
The Joint Committee for the 11 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in West Yorkshire and Harrogate (WY&H) is part of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership. It has a shared health programme of work that aims to further improve the health and wellbeing of the 2.6 million people living across the area.
The Committee has joint delegated powers from individual CCGs to make collective decisions around specific work programmes, for example mental health, urgent care and stroke.
A key part of the work involves sharing expertise and working closely with local councils, hospitals, care providers and voluntary and community organisations – ensuring services are fit for the future in a challenging financial environment.
