Excellent Practice

Used Patchs to get advice on an issue, was then booked in for an appointment with a GP.

It is getting better to get face to face appointments. I would be interested in learning how to use the online E consult as I ring up at the moment to book appointments and sometimes can be left waiting . Doctors are OK and usually helpful in sending for tests if needed .
Waiting to get through in a morning

When we ring in a morning we have to wait about 30 minutes, that is the main concern otherwise they are very good. I don't know how to use E consult . Staff kind and doctors sometimes helpful and sometimes not as much. When my children are sick they say its a virus but don't give medication for them and then when they don't improve over two weeks they will then give them the medication. I fee this is not good and they should be given the medicine sooner.
Struggle to book appointments

I struggle to book appointments over the phone and often kept waiting to get through to speak to someone . I am not good on the Internet so don't go online to make appointments. Doctors listen. Receptionist staff are nice
Hard to get through to surgery

I have been trying to get appointment for the last couple of days that is the only problem . I use E consult but you have to contact the surgery to get that and its hard to get through and you are kept on hold for ages, sometimes 30 minutes, and when you are here it is quiet with hardly anyone waiting in the waiting room. Recently I couldn't get through to the surgery to ask for information about medication we had been prescribed. Staff are pleasant and helpful but I had to push to be given a face to face appointment and felt I needed one as it was for a child and I didn't want to go to A&E and the problem has been going on for quite a while now .
Doctors listen .Hard to get appointments

It is alright I have been coming a long time . The doctors listen and help .Receptionist alright but sometimes hard to get appointments as I don't use Internet. Sometimes can be kept waiting room area for my appointment when busy but no more then 5-10 minutes
Doctors don't always listen to me

I have to ring up but its difficult to get through on the phone to book appointments .I am not good on Internet so don't use E consult . Some receptionists can be rude and try to diagnose you themselves this feels uncomfortable to me. I have had a problem in the past where I didn't get the correct results from tests. Doctors don't always listen to me.

I am happy, we get told to ring up at 8am to get an appointment as I don't really know how to use E consult and don't really understand how to use it. They have told me how to use it a couple of times and I have tried but I still find it difficult to do so they have given me other options and I call in and they email the doctor and forward a message for me . Receptionist friendly and always someone to help with language barrier.
Busy at 8 am

It can be difficult to get an appointment when I called in and it was busy 8am in the morning. Receptionist pretty friendly and helpful especially due to our language problem . Nurse in particular really helpful in explaining and breaking down information for us to understand easily We are quite new to this surgery but it is much better than our previous doctors surgery .
New to surgery

I have been on the phone this morning for over an hour and couldn’t get through . I was trying to let them know I was running late as traffic was bad . That has been my only negative experience but I am new to the surgery
