Newsome Surgery

I recently moved here as my pervious surgery was poor and I have found this to be much better so far. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming. Can take a while to be seen but you do get seen eventually and the doctor I have seen listened to me well.

I had cancer and am being monitored every 6 months. The nurses who see me are very good. I would like to see a doctor face to face but they only do telephone calls unless its urgent.

I can get through on the phone quickly and the reception staff are always helpful.
The doctor I see is really helpful too.

My daughter called regarding eczema on her face. She was asked to carry out a referral online which she did. Later the next day she received a phone call saying we can't give you a prescription, buy some from over the counter... no indication as to what to buy or how best to treat it

Always had appointments free. Had a walk in service. My son was looked after well. Had a 10min arrival grace

I turned up today to get what is known as a tick form filled in and was told they would not do it unless ipaid £15
When I was given the form from Kmc customer service I was told it was free this is reason I had been given it

If this is the state of our so called care for mental health no wonder the health service is in such a state

I have not received any medication since August and they didn't even know ....?
The nurse prescribed me a new inhaler but the doctor refused to prescribe the number capsules I needed

I'm diabetic, the doctors and nurses look after me well. 'I can't grumble' the nurses are friendly, listen to me. No problem with the service at all. I'm thankful fro the staff.

went to see doctor yesterday with concerns about my son developing a tick I was told I shouldn't have come to see a gp.he was abrupt,arrogant and I left upset and confused

Very difficult to get an appointment

-Difficulty making an appointment. You can only going in and queue.
-No continuity, have to make an appointment two weeks in advance if you want to see the same doctor.
-Doctor can be quite patronising, need improvement in communication.
