Newsome Surgery

-Difficulty making an appointment. You can only going in and queue.
-No continuity, have to make an appointment two weeks in advance if you want to see the same doctor.
-Doctor can be quite patronising, need improvement in communication.

Moved from another area and required a smear test due to being 65 - nurse who carried out the smear test had inadequate training for my needs which was later stated by another nurse who redid the test for me, and everything was done great. People were professional, but I feel like it was a waste of money as the results were not given to me as expected.

Appointment made straight away when needing one. On system as priority patient.

They are good with people.

Difficult to get an appointment on the day without physically turning up. Not holistic, can only talk about one thing. Have to write on a bit of paper to say why want to see GP. Realise they're under pressure but the poor service is making me think about moving GP practice.

They've changed their message on the phone so you have to press lots of numbers before you get to speak to someone. It can be difficult to get an appointment. The doctor has helped me, they do what they can .

I have tried calling many times during their advertised opening times (4pm on this occasion). I kept getting a message saying they are closed. It is ridiculous that they have a message saying they are closed and advertising their opening hours - during opening hours. this is not helpful. I also had an appointment for 8.30 am yet the surgery didn't open until 8.40, no wonder they are always running late. If I as a patient had been late for my appointment I would have been criticised.
One of the doctors was so rude to me and my mother in law, neither of us will be seeing him again. He used expletives during a consultation which was very offensive.

the service in this surgery is good because any i request an appointment i get it and wait time is good but the only problem with this surgery is that there is no nappy changing room or children play corner. this is very uncomfortable when people go the there with kids.
