The care is fine, it's just the distance to travel to Pinderfields. Follow up is now in Dewsbury which is fine.
I was taken by an ambulance to A+E, and my TIA was treated as a urine infection and I was sent home. The ambulance staff and my husband knew it was a TIA but the doctor unfortunately didn't listen - I had had the same symptoms 6 weeks beforehand. Luckily the next time I went, a dedicated stroke nurse met us there and treatment was much better.

They actually seem interested in solving your problems. The only thing was that the bathrooms were unclean
Horrible building

Building very impersonal, like an airport, it causes anxiety; people are already worried when they go to hospital and the building doesn't help.

Was sent due to chest pains. Was left waiting 5 hours for results. Was told by a porter that was stopping overnight and taken to a ward. Was told by a nurse that I'd be seen by night doctor. I wasn't. The morning doctors came and went without seeing me. A nurse asked if I wanted a toothbrush etc. I told her I hadn't seen a doctor yet so didn't know what was happening. She saw a doctor who came to see me and apologised, I hadn't been seen by a doctor with any results as they didn't know I was there.
Daughters ENT Assessment
Ear Nose and Throat
September 22, 2016
After waiting almost a year for my 4 year old daughters initial E.N.T appointment we were finally seen by two doctors and the service was fantastic. They thoroughly checked her hearing, throat and nose and discovered a few problems which needed resolving. Although it has been 3-4 months and we are still waiting for the next appointments the doctors were great. ENT department were great. The only concern i have is the ridiculous waiting time we have to get an initial appointment or a follow up 16-18 weeks is far too long a wait.
Food was inedible
Cancer services

On a ward with other critically ill people which are meant to be in isolation due to low immune systems, lots of visitors all the way throughout the day and also nurses turning up poorly. Food was awful and most people when to the main payable canteen for food. No mention of a menu for choices. Doctors and nurses were worked incredibly hard always busy. Admin side (booking appointments, which hospital Dewsbury or Pinderfields) confusing and not working, we live right next door to dewsbury but get sent to pinderfields as the next appointment is at that site, that doesnt matter to me
