In addition to providing their usual services, this opticians is also part of the Primary Eyecare and Assessment Referral Service (PEARS); conditions that can be seen under the service include:
• Red eye or eyelids
• Dry Eye or gritty and uncomfortable eyes
• Irritation and inflammation of the eye
• Significant recent sticky discharge from the eye or watery eye
• Recently occurring flashes or floaters
• In growing eyelashes
• Foreign body in the eye

PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT A SIGHT TEST

If you have a major eye condition that is being regularly monitored by your optometrist or hospital eye service, this will not be covered by this service, for example, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma.

Unprofessional and extremely reply rude

Came to return an antibacterial dry eye compress. They took it, opened it and said I can’t return it, it’s been opened. I said I’ve never opened it and you guys just did. The staff turned to an other member (man) who freaked out. Said it’s my private property. Was told by the lady it’s medical and can’t be returned. I question why did you guys open it if you knew it’s medical and can’t be retuned. He started to scream and said I’ll be thrown out from the store and I shouldn’t question his staff.

Annual eye test

Give me annual eye tests for macular degeneration. Don't try to sell me new glasses and my eyes have only changed slightly.

Very positive. I have Macular degeneration and get annual eye tests as a result of this. Specsavers originally identified the condition and referred me to the hospital. The condition is now managed via specsavers

I have contact lenses, and my eyesight is always changing. They give me free replacements when they become broken or lost twice in a year, and also give out free glasses every 2 years.
