Thank you very much for taking the time to give us some feedback. Our appointment system is in place to provide some structure in what can be a chaotic world. We appreciate our patient's patients when a medical need causes our clinics to run late, although this is a rare occurrence. We are reasonable and do allow patients a 10 minute window in which they can still be seen if they are running late, although we would expect this to be the exception and not habitual. Anything later than that and I am afraid they are into someone else's time who may have arrived on time for their appointment and we can't expect that patient to wait to be seen after someone who was late for their appointment. If we are running late, our check in screen does inform you of your expected wait time on arrival, if you were then not happy with that you could rebook for another time. When a patient is late for their appointment we do offer people the option of booking an appointment for another time or sitting and waiting until the end of surgery when they arrive late, perhaps this is something you could take advantage of the next time you are running late?
