Good in most areas

I'm happy with he quality of care is great and reception staff are lovely but I really struggle to get through to them over the phone. Often in a long hold queue which takes a long time but once you are in surgery it doesn't take long to be seen.

Quality of care is great, staff on front desk are nice and helpful. Waiting times are good and not kept waiting to long.
Not happy with many aspects of surgery

I find it difficult to get through on the phone to make an appointment, it's either too busy or when you do eventually get through they tell you it's too late for appointments.
Most of the reception staff have been rude to me both over the phone and in person.
I feel like I have to do a lot of chasing for example I have been waiting over 4 weeks for some results and when I have asked them about it they say they are still waiting on them but they can't tell me how long they expect it to be before I get them back and just say 'we'll chase it' but that's what I've been told a number of times now.
I've also had to chase prescriptions too which is frustrating.
I am also really disappointed that they don't offer patients choice. I have been referred for physio at MSK and I don't enjoy using that service and have asked to be referred to dewsbury hospital instead but they don't listen and still send me to MSK.

Extremely happy with the surgery

Since they moved thr surgery to the ground floor we have seen some fantastic improvements all round. The quality of care is fantastic the staff are very friendly and always treat me and my family so kindly. I never have a problem making an appointment over the phone and don't have to wait long.
The only suggestion I could make would be if they could add kurdish as a language option to the checking in system as this would help dome of my family who also use the surgery.

Good practice on the whole

The practice is good, rcestaff nice and friendly and helpful and waiting times aren't usually too bad. However I have had mixed experience with the quality of care. Some GP's are really good and others I don't feel listen as well. On one occasion I swe a male GP and spoke to him about a female issue and I sensed he was uncomfortable with the conversation and it felt as though he tried to end the conversation as soon as possible.

I have been coming to the surgery for a couple of years and always been a great experience and he quality of the care provided by both nurses and doctors is excellent.

I have a long term condition that requires frequent visits to the surgery. Most of the staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. However there is one lady I occasionally encounter on reception who is really quite unpleasant. She barely looks up and when she does there is no smile and quite frankly she makes me feel that I'm disturbing her. I dread it when I see her on reception. Everyone else is really lovely. Unfortunately the staff don't wear name badges otherwise I would identify this member of staff. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for this unpleasant individual
Easy appointments and results

Visited doctor to obtain a blood test. Easy to make an appointment and obtain the results.
