Rude receptionists

The receptionists are so rude. They don't seem to know what they are doing. It is rare to get a helpful staff member on reception. Toilets are shocking not very clean. Can't see the same doctor each time they don't always know you.
Diabetes care

I have been requesting to attend the DESMOND training course since I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2004. I was never invited to attend the course.
Ear srynging.

A recent visit to Audiology for an hearing aid, I was informed to have my ears syringed, a simple procedure at my local doctors. Now I am told at the doctors that I need a referral to go to the hospital which is going to take at least 18 weeks (what a farce) by the time it takes for the nurse to make the referral she could have syringed the ear. I have been pouring olive oil in my left ear which is the affected one for 12 days now in the hope I can get my hearing partly restored. BRING BACK THIS SERVICE URGENTLY ITS CHEAPER.
Booking of Appointments

This whole system needs reviewing. I can never get an appointment no matter what time i ring up. They need to have a look at the way other doctors do booking in.
Brilliant service

Positive feedback for Mirfield Health Centre. Yesterday morning I started ringing the health centre at 8am and by 8.03 had an appointment with Nurse Practitioner Alison. After an initial examination she brought in Dr Pieske who happened to be holding a minor surgery clinic that morning. He decided that he could remove the problem then if I was prepared to wait. It turned out to be a very short wait and less than an hour after my arrival I left with the issue resolved. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you.

Too difficult to get appointments
December 14, 2015
It is always difficult to get an appointment with Mirfield Health Centre. They expect appointments to be made by phone at 8am but if you do phone them at this time, they usually say that they have no appointments. We ended up having to queue outside the health centre at 8am each morning.

Helpful doctors & reception staff overall. The only complaint is that it is impossible to get an appointment booked ahead within a reasonable period, ie within a week. It is also very difficult to get an appointment on the day. However, I imagine this is more to do with regulations GP surgeries have to work within. It would be nice to have a surgery manager decide to work outside those regulations & and stand by the decision IF that decision improved the service provided. Also, the dispensor for handwash in the surgery entrance is always empty!
