long waiting times over phones

I have been with the surgery for a longtime and have always been really happy with the care. Waiting times are annoying at the moment especially for me as I am using a pay as you go phone so have to keep on eye on how much credit is being used on just waiting on hold. This sometimes outs me off even calling up.

Very happy with the quality of the care from the GP's. They have been really looked after me and my husband and always listened and acted on all out concerns.
The only area where I could say need improvements is some of the reception staff sometimes have a miserable attitude.

Specialist changed my mother's medication on 16 April wasn't changed by surgery until 12 May despite a letter being sent electronically on the 22 April. Kept telling me they couldn't find the letter so I phoned specialists secretary and found where they needed to look.
System won't let me key details in.

Telephone appointments system is frustrating.Just a simple statement that there are delays and some music are fine.Too much information and repetitive warnings and statements about delays are very annoying.

Difficult to get appointments. Always delay in seeing GP despite them having a small amount of same day.
Busy Practice

When calling the surgery the explanation is long winded. I can't always get an appointment when I need one but recently its become harder. It is a very busy practice but when I need regular appointments I can get them, its more the emergency ones.

I often make appointments by phone and it takes a long time to get through, getting appointments can be a problem as English is not my first language and it is very busy. The doctor is able to speak to me in my language. My daughter helps me when I use the online service. I am generally happy with the service.
Anticoagulant Clinic

I attend the anticoagulant clinic the nursing staff are knowledgeable, know what they are doing and friendly. Fitting in a specific day is not always easy but fortunately I am flexible.

I rang this morning at 8am for an appointment and got through at 8.30am. I was told there was no appointments. The doctor rang me and booked me in for today at 11am. I have no complaints, the staff are all really friendly and helpful. I don't use the online services
