Service to my mum.
October 13, 2022
My mum struggles to get face to face appointments, she struggles with the phone system, can be over half an hour to get through, no appointments available on the day, doesn't always get the right treatment or advice, discharge notes from hospitals aren't scrutinised to allow for changes to medication. Mum feels like an inconvenience not important, appointments are always booked up in advance, can be two weeks to get an appointment and hearing, mobility not taken into consideration.
The surgery seems to be still in Covid mode, at my surgery they are fully open and very supportive, no masks either, it's upto the individual.

Difficult to access , poor feedback

Generally try to help , contact is poor , from phone contact to email and online , appointments are difficult. Little stability in staff , lack of coordination between services . I ended up in bradford for a coil check because it was classed as sexual health , I have the coil for me a pause symptoms .
Very disorganised!

Cannot get an appointment by phone, online or in person.
Rude staff on the phone
When you do get an appointment it feels very rushed and too quick to just prescribe medication

Can’t get through via phone
October 12, 2022
Can’t get through via phone and when waiting can be upto an hour, they sent me text with a link to book flu vaccine and there’s no availability, same with covid vaccine. I’m at high risk as well. I also need annual review on my meds before they can give me my next prescription . And they can’t get me in to review, and say they won’t give me my blood pressure tablets without a review. I’m at high risk of a stroke and worried.
Fell ill during a routine appointment
October 12, 2022
I suddenly fell seriously ill during a routine appointment at the surgery. It quickly escalated to calling an ambulance and the care I received was fabulous. Special thanks to Claire, Molly and Shameela for their excellent care and attention while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Thankfully I'm on the mend but I needed to express my gratitude to the team at the surgery and the entire NHS team. Thank you all and keep being amazing
6 months to get results, never answer phone.

just bad service from start to finish. 40 mins on a phone to have it cut off.
Not a lot good to say at the moment

Would love to give a more detailed review but it's impossible to get an appointment. You can be on hold for hours on the phone only to get cut off before anyone answers. No appointments online and if you go in to complain and ask how to get an appointment you are just told to go away and phone...which obviously doesn't work. Attitude of reception staff is disgusting. No idea how this surgery has a 4 star review, I wouldn't even give it one if I could. I'm sorry if you are understaffed but you are really letting your patients down. Something needs to be done.
Where has the duty of care gone?
October 12, 2022
Only getting a telephone appointment for something that obviously needs a face-to-face examination is dangerous. Although that said, it's an accomplishment to actually get to speak to someone on the phone in the first place. Telephone appointments are rushed, there is no real discussion permitted, and prescriptions are issued, but take days to be available to collect. This surgery used to be excellent, now I see very little duty of care. The reception staff have to request that service users be kind to them, I didn't understand the reason why to begin with, however patients who are being made to feel like a worthless inconvenience will lash out in fear. I've had more help from Google searches than I've had from this surgery in recent months.
Can’t speak to anybody, no appointments

It’s merely impossible to actually speak to somebody at Parkview! You ring to make an appointment, you’re number 9 (for example) in the queue, waiting for half hour, sometimes even longer, you get to position 1 and then phone cuts off. I’ve read countless times how many times this has happened to people, then they ring back and are in the same situation they started in. Sometimes the only option is to go down to the surgery and actually speak to the receptionist - this isn’t always feasible, whether it’s due to working hours or disabilities.
When you do finally get to speak to someone, you’re told there’s no appointments for 6 weeks, sometimes longer.
The receptionists are rude, there’s no doctors / nurses to see to get appointments.
They have been having trouble with the phone system for the best part of a year, maybe longer and nothing seems to be done to fix it.
