Podiatry

July 10, 2019
I have had a recent visit from the podiatry team at home. But I have now been told 'out of the blue' that the person I care for can no longer have home visits. This is a concern due to general health and mobility issues and a recent fall, this will have an impact on us both to get to the health centre particularly during winter months.

Excellent public relation

My local GP practice are very approachable and understanding. The GPs, doctors and nurses are always helpful and have time to listen to your problems. However they often struggle with specific diagnosis, my Dad has a gluten intolerance and immune diseases and struggled to be diagnosed by the GPs. It took a long time for him to be passed onto the right specialist which caused him a lot of problems and stress.

Mum of children with autism.

It would be helpful if the surgery nurse and doctors had a flag up that my sons have autism before they enter the room.

I am pleased with the way that the surgery is run and have no complaints about the service or getting an appointment

Repeat prescriptions

November 4, 2016
Using the system for the first time I found it worked OK when placing an order. However it does not close the loop. It gives you a loose time of when the prescription will be ready but does not inform you if the prescription is sent to the chemist or if you have to collect it. The other downfall is that it tells you when you can place the next order but in my case I am on warfarin so the hospital can vary my dosage but the system doesn't know this and restricts my ordering of it.

Dear Patient
As you state the online system does not know whether you have nominated a pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically and therefore does not advise you regarding collection. However, if you have nominated a pharmacy the practice will automatically send it to your chosen pharmacy and if not, it will be to collect from the practice.
I note your comment re Warfarin prescriptions and unfortunately again the online system does not make provision for this at the moment.
I will pass your feedback on through our IT system user group where we can highlight potential required enhancements to the system for the future.
Many thanks for your feedback

Patient care. My experience.

April 6, 2016
I joined this Practice in March 2015 and since joining have got nothing but high praise for the manner in which the staff and medical team conduct their business. Whenever I have needed to see a doctor I have been offered an appointment usually on the same day. Last year I was diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer and had to have major surgery. Both prior to and after surgery the treatment that I received from Park View Surgery was exceptional. In my experience, the "front of house staff" are courteous, patient and pleasant, I have always been able to get a "same day" appointment with one of the medical team. When you are, or have been very ill, as I have, it is not the person you see that is important, it is the treatment, assistance, and understanding of the person who sees you that is paramount. I have nothing but praise for these people. I do not understand why people wish to remain anonymous when giving reviews whether it be positive or negative. If you have something to say, say it but please have the guts to put your name to it.

Trying to get an appointment at this surgery is nigh on impossible.

Three weeks to see a doctor is ridiculous.
