Elmwood Family Doctors - Holmfirth

All been OK so far apart from login on upstairs

I recently needed an appointment with a female GP & there was not one available for 4 weeks.
I reluctantly agreed to a male GP, but even then the wait was 7 days.
I had to use an "urgent appointment" on the same day, which I felt uneasy about.

Struggle to get prescriptions
Staff not over friendly/lack of communication between doctor and patient

Sometimes could not get in for ages
Overall pretty good
Friendly, helpful

Can make appointments online, and check your results online too

Getting appointments is difficult - I always ring to book an emergency appointment because that's the only way I'll get in at a suitable time. 5 minute appointments which are generally efficient. Receptionists vary, GP is great.

Doctors are great but often wait too long for an appointment

Using Meltham branch but all go through Elmwood only appointments at Meltham. I can get an appointment quickly they always fit you in. It may not be the doctor of choice, but will fit you in. The staff are generally very courtieus and helpful. One doctor is very friendly but doesn't ask any questions and doesn't listen. They don't take on board what you are saying. A couple of the receiptioists are a little abrubt

Get to see main GP's. Can get appointments in the same day or same week. Good follow up
