Broken arm

Volume of patients for plaster casts- difficulty in finding turn. Recommend ticket system

Appointment times- I'm anxious that I must not be late for appointments but then may have to wait about 1 hour.
I got a letter in June 2015 for a womb examination which was received after a hysterectomy. Dr apologised by phone and letter but had not read case notes.

Lack of person centred care

Visited the eye clinic at HRI. There is a lack of person centred care. I saw some people waiting to see a consultant who had been there for over two hours. Someone then came along and told them in front of everyone that "the consultant had double booked, he's working in theatre now". I think this was unfair to be said in public, they should have called the people who needed that consultant and told them in a separate area. This could have been very distressing for patients who were already waiting and anxious.

I was told by staff at the new Acre Mills outpatients unit that the car park pay station was out of order and not to pay. 10 days later I received a demand for £60. The company employed by CHFT to manage the car park were extremely aggressive in their approach to collecting the fine. On bring a complaint to the PALs service at CHFT I was met with the most unsympathetic attitude imaginable.
Good service, but still waiting for physio

Appointment for musculoskeletal department came through quickly, scan arranged and appointment was quick. Follow up appointments referral for physio, still waiting for an appointment approx 3 months later

Check in was quick but not enough information about where to find the area I needed.
Staff in outpatients were very kind and caring.

Go and order my shoes twice per year. Always pleasent ready to serve kind and efficient.
Went in for X-rays

I went in for some x-rays, I had to wait for over 3 hours. When it was my turn they did not apologise for the delay.
Discharged too early

I was in hospital a few weeks ago because of stomach problems. I was not feeling very well but the doctors discharged me after a day. I still don't think they took me seriously
