I don't need to come often but when I have been it has been ok. I am never in a rush to get an appointment and waited for this one 4-5 days as I was in no rush as it was nothing major. I prefer to speak to someone in person and be seen face to face.
Mixed experience with appointments

I have had a mixed experience with appointments when I have had to speak to the receptionist as it can be difficult. Women's health care at the well woman clinic can be upsetting as the approach from some of the staff is not always empathic and this makes me reluctant to go. There seems an element of body shaming, I felt this a while ago but I am seeing the doctor today and they are nice so I won't have that problem today.

I don't really have an problems getting appointments, sometimes I do have to wait a while for them to answer the phone but you have to just pick your time as they are busy. I am generally happy with the doctors and admin staff but it would be easier if they did more things online and if I could book my regular appointments this way would help.

Sometimes when I call in I can't get an appointment. I am told to ring back at 8.30 am and when I do I can't get an appointment. I like to come and see a doctor face to face but it is really hard to get an appointment.
Hard to get hold of on telephone

Trying to get hold of them on telephone is hard. I don't go online and prefer to use the phone. It took me a week to get the last appointment. The staff are helpful and the doctors listen to me and send me for tests if I need them.
Takes time to get through

I don't come often but I have to ring up on a morning and it does take time to get through. If I tell them what the issue is they will often push the appointment through for me to be seen. They seem to be good at seeing children. I have in the past seen a health visitor here and she was very good. I don't like the online service and I think you have to go to the surgery to get the information to set it up. I don't mind calling to get an appointment , but I know some of my family have struggled when they try to get appointments.

Sometimes staff don't listen to you

Sometimes the staff don't listen to you and it can be really difficult to get an appointment. I go online but don't always get notified an appointment has been cancelled and they are telephone appointments but sometimes you want face to face appointments, so you have to call up for them and It is a long time to have to wait to speak to someone. Sometimes the doctors are helpful but it depends on which doctor you see. I just want doctors to listen to me respectfully as I feel like they think I am making it up. It is also a very long process, you go with one issue and they say come back if it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks and when you do go back they don't do anything about it and just say the same thing.
Busy on a morning

Sometimes they are busy on a morning and it can be hard to get on the day/ next day appointments . But if I call on an afternoon to make a general appointment to see a particular doctor it is easier to book. The staff and receptionists are helpful and the doctors listen to me quite well. I manage to get appointments for blood tests and they are done ok.
Service has been good

I have been coming here since I was a baby, so overall over the years the service has been good. With Covid it has been difficult to get appointments and I have had a delay in getting the treatment that I am coming for today. I don't use the online service as I prefer to ring up and talk to someone as it gives a bit of reassurance. The receptionists are helpful and kind.
