Cant faut them!

I had a lovey telephone call from someone at the medequip office who informed me when our handrails would be installed and I received a text this morning to say the driver was on his way. We were expecting 3 handrails to be fitted in our entrance way but the driver has explained why he can not install one of them in our pourch due to the plasterboard. He has explained we send a message to the original OT who ordered the rails so an alternative can be looked at .

Happy with everything

I use the community-based OT service, who help order the equipment for me. I requested an item and then it's delivered in a couple of weeks. I've had a raised chair, blocks to raise the bed and settee and hand rails.

I'm happy with everything, they are timely and proficient. They ring to say they are coming in a certain time slot, so I know when to expect them.

Medequip staff are all amazing

I've seen many different Medequip staff and they are all amazing! The OT calls Medequip to order and then 3-4 working days later the item comes.

Delivery is amazing, I had bed rail fittings, it wasn't right first time, but they came back again and fitted them again so it worked.

Only thing that can be improved is if the delivery people had shoe covers they could wear please. Sometimes I've mopped the floor and then it's walked all over.

Nothing needs improving

I have had a few pieces of equipment from Medequip. A bath lift and toilet frame, etc. We see the Occupational Therapist first and they order the equipment for me. It took around 7 days from ordering it, for it to arrive.

Fantastic on the phone and helpful

I have used Medequip a few times. I've had a mattress, bed lever, commode and hand rails. All staff are really pleasant. They are fantastic on the phone and really helpful. They are so good, I can't think of anything to make it better.

I rang them to collect this equipment and it took 2 weeks for them to come and collect it.

It's quick to arrive when you order

The items are quick to arrive after you order. I ordered a commode on Thursday and it was delivered on Tuesday.

My daughter rings for me to organise equipment. Next I'm needing hand rails putting upstairs, so we will ask for Medequip equipment again.

Could be delivered quicker

I've had a commode, toilet frame and I'm waiting for an outside hand rail to be fitted.

I've had to wait a few weeks for delivery, it could be quicker.

Somebody hasn’t ticked a box

Waiting in for a chair for my terminally ill father and I was told his chair couldn’t be delivered because nobody had ticked a box saying it was a two man job.
When I offered to be the second man to get the chair in the property I was told ‘Health and Safety’ says no

We are sorry to hear you have not had a good experience with our service. Unfortunately we are contracted by Kirklees, working with the NHS, and can only deliver what has been ordered by the Occupational Therapists. If they have forgotten to order some equipment then we have to wait for them to do this as we are not qualified to prescribe equipment. We cannot have members of the public helping the drivers with large and heavy delivers as they would not be covered by our insurance if anything was to happen to them during the installation of the equipment. We hope that if you require us in the future that you experience is better.

efficient service

As the manager of a care home I find medequip a really efficient service to work with. We have built a good relationship with them and we are able to call and ask for advice and they are able to support with any issues with equipment quickly. Deliveries and collections are easy to book and always on time.

First time using the service but it's been great so far, they sent me a text this morning to let me know what time delivery would be and he arrived on time. He installed some internal and external hand rails for us and even cleaned up the dust afterwards.
