I called to request a collection of my mums items she no longer needs now she is bed bound. It was a commode, a walker and stool but was told they won't come out to collect items. In the end, I ended up giving them away to friends of friends put was a bit of a pain.

We have recently updated our website to show more locations where equipment can be dropped off and are looking to add more locations in the coming months. We have also recruited more drivers so that we are no able to offer collection of smaller pieces of equipment. We hope that if you need to use our services in the future that you have a better experience.

I'm a carer for an elderly gentleman. I rang Medequip to ask for a replacement cushion which had split and they delivered it the next day.

I had a pair of crutches I wanted to return but when I rang up they said they wouldn't collect them as it was just one item. A couple of months later I had a grab rail refitted and I mentioned the crutches to the guy who was doing the work, he said they wouldn't usually take them but would on this occasion for me, as he was already at the house, so that was helpful.
I have only just found out about the amnesty bin at HRI and this wasn't mentioned to me when I initially called up to ask them to take them off my hands.

Medequip fitted some outdoor grab rails for me and a couple in my bathroom too; it was quick and they have been really useful for me so happy with the service.

I had a key safe installed and was a little apprehensive about it but the guy who installed it was very friendly and spent a good long while with me showing me how it works and answering all my questions. He didn't seem to mind my questions and was happy to show me a few times how to work it so that I was sure.

When my dad passed away all we had to do was give Medequid a call and they came out the following week to collect all his equipment.

Generally ok

the equipment they provide is generally ok but I've had a few toilet seats from them over a couple of years that always end up cracking. All I have to do is call up and they send me a replacement within a few days usually which is easy enough but I do feel like they could be better quality. Other than that have been happy with everything.

Really good customer service, they always call to let us know when there is going to be a delivery. The quality of the equipment is really good too.

incorrect item

I recently had a toilet seat frame delivered but it is too small for me and as soon as i saw it I said I wouldn't be able to use it. The driver said he couldn't take it back with him and if I needed something different I had to ring gateway to care to ask for it. I asked if he could send a note to the OT who had made the order (like they have in the past when something hasn't been quite right) but he said he couldn't do this. Now I'm left with a frame that I cant use and just gets in the way.
